This weekend, I tried out the new Bombay Brow Bar at the Shangri-La Hotel location. Founded by brow-obsessed sisters, Ravy Mehroke and Amy Minhas, Bombay Brow Bar promises perfectly sculpted brows for $23 in 20 minutes. The main service includes: brow shaping, arch perfecting, trimming, forehead massage with rosewater gel, and brow finishing with complimentary brow makeup.
Unfortunately for me, my Asian genes did not bless me with a lot of eyebrow hair to begin with. However, with their threading and shaping techniques, I was very happy with how even and more defined my brows looked after the service. Here are some photos from start to finish:
Step 1: Starting with no makeup, the Brow Artist shows me where the start and end of my brows should be, along with the top point of the arch.
Step 2: Brow artist draws with white eyeliner the shape that she will work within during threading.
Step 3: Brow artist threads above and below my natural brow and trims shape to complement the arch.
Step 4: Brow Artist uses an angled brush and dark brown brow powder to fill in the brows. Sets with brow wax and uses a q-tip to perfect shape. Voila!
I loved the professional service and atmosphere of Bombay Brow Bar. They have various locations and the Shangri-La one is now my favourite. They also offer brow services for men, eyelash tinting and brow tinting. Here is my rating of Bombay Brow Bar:
Service: 9/10
Location: 9/10 (very central but expensive street parking if you’re driving)
Cleanliness: 10/10
Atmosphere: 9/10
Results: 9/10
Overall Fab Rating: 46/50

I’m not notorious for not keeping my eyebrows tamed and sometimes I’d go for a month without plucking. Yuck, I know but I just never cared about eyebrows. I got mine tattooed last month which was a great decision and even though I still don’t clean it up often, it’s less noticeable because of the filled-in/tattooed parts.
Oh! Katy, where did you go to get it tattooed? Does it still look natural? Do tell!
